The German Stollen is the most famous and beloved of all Christmas pastries. It is flaky, moist, and divinely flavorful. We add raisins, spice & Marzipan(Almond Paste) in it. We then finish off the baking by dusting it with a thick coating of sugar icing, reminiscent of the snowy German landscape. The Stollen is also symbolic of the baby Jesus in swaddling clothes, thus it is traditionally called Christstollen.
